Pitchblack Playback
The album is different every session and the format never is. Two venues, the same dark room, whatever record is next.
What it is
One album, start to finish, in the dark on a cinema sound system. No phones, no visuals, no talking: the record is the whole event.
When
Several sessions a month, at The Castle Cinema in Homerton and Riverside Studios in Hammersmith. Dates on their site.
Where
Homerton and Hammersmith
Who it’s for
People who miss hearing a record all the way through without doing anything else at the same time.
First time
It runs in complete darkness and starts on time. Book ahead, and go in knowing you will not be looking at your phone.
