Burley Fisher Books events
The same authors, editors and readers cycle between stage and audience, so regulars come back to keep up with the scene rather than for a fixed format.
What it is
Launches, readings and panels in the basement of a Haggerston indie bookshop, the de facto clubhouse of East London's small press scene.
When
Several events a month, launches and panels. Dates on their site.
Where
Haggerston
Who it’s for
Readers of contemporary and small press fiction who want to hear writers talk shop at bookshop scale, wine in hand.
First time
Tickets are around £6 and sell on the shop's website like books. Discovery runs through their newsletter and Instagram rather than a tidy listings page, so sign up.
